Doctor by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the thesis Perspectiva de género e intervención socioeducativa con mujeres en las cárceles españolas 2023. Supervised by Dr. María del Mar Lorenzo Moledo.

PhD in Education (2023) with International Mention from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. She got an extraordinary prize for her degree and received two competitive grants for the development of her doctoral thesis: Aid to Support the Predoctoral Stage from the Xunta de Galicia (2018) and Aid for University Teacher Training (FPU) from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport (2018). Since 2024 she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics. She is a member of the ESCULCA Research Group (Competitive Reference Group of the Galician R&D&I System), the RIES Research Network, the UNIASC Network of Excellence and the PAIDEIA Teaching Innovation Group of the USC. She has authored scientific publications indexed in high impact journals (SJR/JCR) and has participated in several national and international conferences, as well as in different competitive projects of the State R&D&I Plan and in an Erasmus + project. She undertook two competitive research visitations: at the University of Cambridge and at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She was a member of the Management Committee of the International PhD School of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (EDIUS) and was an evaluator for the Agency for Quality Assurance in the Galician University System (ACSUG), as well as for the Docentia Programme at the University of A Coruña. Her main lines of research are: education and pedagogy in prison contexts, family education, employability and service-learning.
