Abstract

In the last decade, rural environment has amplified its presence in public discourse, but in a diverse and tensive manner. In this context of diversity, it is fair to ask which is the image and discourse that school is fostering about rural environment. For that aim, this work presents a critic analysis of the hidden curriculum about rural area in textbooks, that has been elaborated by will-be educators through a service-learning experience.
