Resumo

Universities must have, among other responsibilities, a commitment to broaden their vision beyondtraditional teaching and learning. They must open their doors to new ways of learning by doing,through actions that form greater social justice and respond to real needs of society. In this line ofwork, a Service-Learning project is carried out from the academic year 2016-2017 to 2019-2020, inthe Faculty of Teacher Training of Lugo (University of Santiago de Compostela) in the subjectsDetection and evaluation of problems of language in childhood and Treatment andpsychoeducational intervention in language problems. Both subjects are taught in the 3rd and 4thyear of the Graduate Degree in Primary Education Teacher and are part of the four that constitute theMention in Hearing and Language. The collaboration project was carried out with the CEIP Illa Verdein the city of Lugo, a public center located near the faculty, which allows greater agility throughoutthe process. The results show that it is necessary to open doors to the exchange of knowledge between the university and the rest of the education professionals. From the training curriculum and teachingpractice, it is necessary to generate forms of dialogue and collaboration between school, citizenshipand university in the development of an inclusive education, in which participatory and emancipatoryresearch enriches the contexts until turning them into learning and development processes.
