Abstract
The authors argue that habit and law configure the legality and the social morality and determine our behavior, while they question the results –waited for– of the mechanical application of the rewards and punishments in education. They distinguish the external control –supervision– and the internal –motivation– in the evolution from the analyzed behaviors, in relation to the application of those sanctions and next they approach the monographic study from the behaviorism, from the cognitive and from the moral perspective. They also approach the contextual complexity of the pedagogic intervention and the possible alternatives from the behavioral approaches of the subjects, to conclude that rewards have the general purpose of reinforcing a situation that is considered desirable, appealing –also– to the affective dimension and highlighting the psychological bases of the education: motivation redriving of non desirable situations, always with affection, without grudge and with optimizer sense.
