Abstract

The use of aerial photographies for the obtaining of the uses of the ground goes back in the middle of century XIX, its use has been extended throughout the time and it has been favored in the last decades by the development of computer science systems that facilitate the handling and management of the information as it is the case of the GIS (SIG). In this work they are to the results obtained in the project interreg denominated "Development of an information system for the environmental management and economic of the ecosystem dehesa/montado in Extremadura and Alentejo", in which a work of planning was carried out on a surface of 1,070,000 is and in which was necessary the boundary of the areas of dehesa located in the Portuguese region of the Alentejo. For this boundary a 1:40.000 in infrared of false color and commercial SIG was left from aerial photographies for scale that was adapted for this work. Between the results of this work different metodos from work are analyzed and are analyzed technically and economically according to the reliability of the results obtained and verified by the equipment of field and the cost of such, related to the necessity of greater working time in cabinet. A methodology sets out that optimizes the combination of both factors for future developments and if they analyze the main causes of error and cost.
