Resumen

This article summarizes a research whose objective was to identify and describe the main characteristics of didactic materials, in printed and digital format, designed and published with the support of the local administration in Spain. The research was carried out in three phases: a) review of scholarly studies and professional reflections, b) cataloging and analysis of teaching materials and educational resources developed by the city councils, and c) implementation of a questionnaire to the people responsible for teaching materials in the city councils. The analysis highlights the absence of inventories in the municipalities to identify educational resources, which leads to negligence in the dissemination of educational materials by the local educational administrations. The conclusion is that a more strategic planning in the medium and long term is necessary to preserve the heritage and the appreciation of the local environment
