Resumen

Studies on corruption suggest that it has consequences for democracy, damaging the rule of law, social justice or undermining citizen confidence in the political class. This chapter describes the perception of corruption in Ecuador, both from the point of view of the problem agenda (public agenda) and from the individual perspective (personal agenda); it also tries to determine the existence of any relationship between the degree of corruption in the Ecuadorian political class and emotions towards political leaders.
