Resumo

This paper presents an assessment of a mixed system to calculate electromagnetic dosimetry in which both radiation experimental parameters and FDTD simulations using numerical phantoms of small animals (rats) were combined. Using a simple formula that takes into account the different variables of exposure to radiation, it is possible to determine the specific absorption rate (SAR) in tissues of animals exposed to non-ionizing radiation in three experimental systems (standing wave cavity, traveling wave cavity and multifrequency). To estimate the SAR values for these three experimental systems, it was necessary to combine the measure of the power absorbed by the animal (standing wave cavity) or the value of the |E| field (GTEM chamber used for both traveling wave for single frequency and for multifrequency) with FDTD numerical computations. An analysis and comparison of the three experimental systems were performed for different biological models
