Resumen
Fragas do Eume make up an emblematic area of Galicia whose protection results from historical environmentalist claims. In line with the “old” conservation geographies discussed by polical ecologists, the narratives around this park have experienced over time significant ruptures with the supposed general interest, hence constituting conflicts of interest. In a context of depopulation, dialectics around the idea of ‘protection’ remain open. Through a mixed method approach, this work revises planning, depopulation and tourism in the park under social lenses. The obtained results will be discussed in terms of dispossession and oriented towards current conservation debates.
