Abstract

Here we analyze the artistic and cultural interest of Casa Cornide, one of the main buildings of a stately character in the Old City of A Coruña, which was the residence of the famous intellectual José Cornide, a true example of eighteenth-century architecture and which became, in the middle of the 20th century, as the object of desire of Carmen Polo, wife of the then Head of State Francisco Franco, who managed to incorporate it into his personal assets.
