Resumo
This paper analyzes the opinion of family lawyers, during the period of confinement that the Spanish population experienced in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as to whether this would increase: the number of relationship breakups; litigation in family proceedings; complaints of family violence, gender-based violence and sexual abuse of children; requests for changes in visits with children and regarding alimony; applications for joint custody or single-parent custody; the use of ADRs for the resolution of potential conflicts (e.g. family mediation); the advice of a forensic psychologist specifying how periods of lack of contact between parents and their children should be compensated; psychological expert reports; and parenting coordinations.
