Resumo
The paramphistomicide activity of four anthelmintics among cattle naturally infected has been checked. Friesian bovines belonging to two farms were divided into six groups. Four bovine herds were given Albendazole, Netobimin, Closantel or Oxyclozanide, and two remained untreated as controls. The Calicophoron daubneyi egg-output was not suppressed after the administration of Albendazol or Netobimin. Closantel and Oxyclozanide provided the best results due to all the treated animals, Oxyclozanide suppressed the egg elimination as early as 1 week after treatment, and Closantel did it by 2 weeks. Nearly to 60% cattle dewormed with Albendazole or Netobimin were negative after therapy, while only 1 cow receiving Oxyclozanide and other treated with Closantel remained positive after treatment.
