Resumen

El Pasatiempo is a park created by D. Juan García Naveira where visitors could travel through far East without leaving the remote village of Betanzos (A Coruña). This país de Oriente could refer to an exotic world, luxurious, wild animals and classic figures, common in the eclectic style of the park; but it could hide another obscure meaning, Oriente was the name of the masonic lodges. Regardless D. Juan´s socio-religious beliefs this project pretends highlight its value, a historical heritage forgotten by the population from Betanzos. This work pleads for its rehabilitation and conservation, so the visitor can travel around the world, like people did a hundred years ago, through this great stage of cement and shells
