Resumo

We evaluate water pollution risk after the spreading of a mixture containing 70% woodash and 30% sewage sludge. We study the physico-chemical characteristics of the by-products and itsmixture, as well as those referred to the receiving soil. Then we evaluate eventual pollution risks relatedto the use of these mixtures on soil. Athree soil column study was performed, where soil and a dose of30t ha-1of the mixture were employed. Percolates were generated by using distilled water, and then thecontents of nutrients and pollutants were analysed, in order to elucidate pollution hazards and solute trans-port dynamics.The dose of mixture here studied (30t ha-1) does not cause water pollution
