Resumo
This works presents the variability of gorse andheath shrublands in Galicia, by analyzing useful ecologicalaspects to establish the guidelines for their management.The structure of mature communities and their modificationby human intervention, mainly through fire, allow theestablishment of their peridiocity and pertinence. Changescaused by this intervention upon the most characteristicwoody species are also interesting for the interpretation oftheir abundance and for carrying out restauration and/orconservation plans
