Abstract
The aimof thisstudyis to make known the possibilities of the Social Network Analysisapplied to children’s games. For this purpose, metrics from graph theory, related to the structure of the network(total links, density, average distance and diameter),and with players of “the hot ball” (degreecentrality, degree prestige, closeness centralityandbetweenness centrality)are calculated and explained.Participants were eight pre-schoolers (5-years) in a second cycle of nursery school. Results revealed gender differences in social interactions emerged during the game. It is concluded that the SNAis an effective methodology for analysing children’s games.
