Resumo

Legal Psychology is a science with its own identity, with limited fields of study characteristic of this discipline and which has aroused the interest of an important group of authors. In this sense, we set a bibliometric study of Legal and Forensic Psychology, through the Colección Psicología y Ley, taking into account its various editions (2004- 2016), in order to analyze the growth of the discipline, thematic areas and author's collaboration rates. We analyzed 419 contributions signed by 492 authors, 68% women and 32% men, whose distribution, according to the thematic areas of the publications was: Legal and Forensic Psychology (21%), Legal Psychology of the Minor (19.6%), Juridical Psychology of the Family (16.9%), Gender Violence (16.5%), Penitentiary and Police Psychology (14.6%), and Victimology (3.8%). Participants from 119 institutions contributed to the congress, 18.48% of which were foreign. It has been observed that most contributing authors are women, who also tend to hold the main authorship (first and last position). The results do not allow to establish a concrete growth model, but they do show an increasing tendency of collaborations at institutional level. There is also a greater degree of collaboration among the authors, which seems indicative of an increase in the maturity of the discipline.
