Abstract

This work makes a comparative analysis between three teaching models: the model the University of Santiago de Comopostela implements for initial training in teaching physics and chemistry in complusory school, new profesional models sthat arise from research on teaching and learning sciences, and also the model of teacher required by the reform of the educational system in Spain -and specifically in Galicia-. This comparative analysis is also influenced by our own work on initial teacher training and our discussions with veteran teachers in active service.
