Resumo
We present an analysis of the relationship between education, the quality of government and level of economic development and stress the importance of giving more support to education in all countries. We analyzed data from America, Europe, Africa and Asia, including Oceania too, and present some econometric models that synthesize the effect of human capital and the quality of government on development. We emphasize the importance of international cooperation in supporting education in the least developed countries in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
