Abstract

Electricity sector plays a fundamental role in any economy, due to his triple impact: macroeconomic, industrial and in the domestic economy. The aim of the study is to develop a financial analysis of the companies that produce electricity, compared with electricity companies that produce and also take part on any other electric activity, between 2010 and 2017. We will use different ratios focused on solvency, liquidity and debt. Results show an aggressive working capital policy, were Working Capital is negative, especially for bigger companies. On the other side, no liquidity problems were found
