Abstract
This paper steps forward in the comparative analysis of Spatial Planning across Spanish Autonomous Regions this research group has been working on. This time focus is on the placement of Spatial Planning policy within structure of Spanish Autonomous Regions’ governments and administrations. And that through an analysis of denomination (names) given to responsible Departament of Spatial Planning (usually combined with additional related policies) as well as the rank‐level it occupies within administrative structure of such responsible Regional Government Department. This analysis is done in a diachronic perspective, by understandig its evolution along time and associated reasons that can explain it. Both, from a legal, normative and political contexts (polity and poltics) point of view; as well as geographical one, by comparing sitution among Spanish Autonomous Regions. These results have been seen in relation with previos ones of the research group already published.
