Abstract

Basis: In order to evaluate public dental health care, the sources of information that allow us to evaluate the process and result of health care activities must be determined by obtaining parameters that determine the quality of health care. The objective of this study was elaborate and validate a survey of satisfaction of the users of the Galician public system of dental care as an instrument for measuring quality of care. Methodology: A user satisfaction survey was designed and subjected to a validation procedure through qualitative exploratory research corresponding to the first phase of a Delphi study. Using the randomized free sampling method, surveys are conducted on users of 15 units of oral health of SERGAS and subsequent statistical analysis. Results: The 96% and 97% of satisfaction with the personal and health treatment received reveal an adequate assessment of the Galician health system. Conclusions: The results obtained allow us to state that the instrument analyzed (satisfaction survey) is useful to assess the degree of patient satisfaction.
