Resumo

True combined endo-periodontal lesions causes a great breakdown of periodontal supporting tissues. Teeth affected by this kind of lesions have been considered by different prognosis classifications as hopeless prognosis and the extraction of the tooth was suggested. Once extracted, complex osseous regeneration techniques will be needed for implant placement. On the other hand, improved periodontal regeneration techniques has shown recently that teeth with hopeless prognosis can be treated and maintained in long-term. This case report shows the treatment and follow-up of a tooth with a hopeless prognosis.
