Resumo

This article considers time from a historical and philosophical perspective. In order to do so, concepts such as the ‘multiverse’ are used to address time, on the basis of work by authors such as Husserl, Schutz and Bergson. From there, the article develops the notion of the end, accompanied by a reflection on time stemming from psychiatry (as in Melges). It concludes by positing that no one can describe the origin or the end of the world, unless one is describing a myth or revealing the word of a god in which one believes – after all, there are no observers outside of the world, because there is nothing outside of the world, by definition.
