Resumo

The prevalence of oral candidosis in patients is very high. Situations such as, xerostomy, removable prostheses immune and/or endocrine system disorders and a lot medication, make this kind of patients more susceptibie to carry C. albicans and suffer oral candidosis. This study review the cientific literature about concept and etiopathogenesis of the oral candidosis in aged patients.
