Abstract
In this work, the natural regeneration and the production of acorns have studied by different open degrees of the canopy in four stands of Quercus robur L. in Galicia locate in the Natural Park “Fragas do Eume” in A Coruña, “Fraga das Saímas” and “Robledal de San Fitoiro” in Lugo, and “Robledal de Taboadelo” in Pontevedra. When the stands were stratified by open degrees of canopy (closed canopy, semi-closed canopy and open canopy) has studied the relationship of the number of seedlings and their height according to the different open degrees of canopy, through the redesign of transects regenerated in each stand. Also, in this case, it has quantified the production of acorns in the closed and semi-closed canopy zones. Nothing that in all the sampling points, only it was detected the presence of seedlings of the natural age class of spread. The absence natural class trunks successive maybe indicative that the process of persistence of the stand is not achieved with the due guarantees.
