Abstract
Dyskinesia and Hyperkinesia of the tongue and the perioral muscles in patients suffering from Parkinson´s disease do not allow a sufficient retention of full dentures in a conventional way. In some cases, osseointegrated dental implants may help to oral rehabilitation and social reintegration of these patients. General medical findings, type of medication and restricted ability for oral hygiene, can not be considered absolute contraindications to osseointegrated implant treatment, since an individualized selection of candidates has to be carried out.
