Resumo
The objective of this study is to value the prevalence and lesions that appear in seropositive patients as a consequence of the setting-up of new treatments. Material and Methods: For this we compare a group of 210 patient (A) treated with an antiretroviral drug and a group of 114 patient (E) treated with a double or triple combination of antiretroviral drugs. The groups are similar insofar as age, way of contagion and sex. Results: We have found oral lesions in 91.4% of the patients of the group A, while in the group E descends to 74.5%. The most frequent lesion has been the melanotic hyperpigmentation (A:35.71%; B:21.1%), the candidiasis appears in the group A in 40.9% and in the group E 25.4%, concerning the periodontal lesions the group A 43.3% and in the group B 14.03%, the hairy leukoplakia presents an incidence of 15.61% (A) and 9.6% (B), the xerostomia affects to the 20.4% of patients of the group A and so alone 10.5% of patients of the group B. The angular cheilitis appears in a 20% of cases in the group A and in 11.4% in the group B.
