Resumo
This article reviews the critical reception of the valleinclanian premières directed by José Tamayo, establishing by the journalistic evidences the basic elements of the poetics of this stage manager, fundamental in order to understand the contemporary Spanish theatre. After Divinas palabras (1961), the critical reception was gradually moderate or openly negative. Finally, the article proposes the idea of des-esperpentization: the simplification and deprivation of some of the basic aspects of the theatrical proposal of the Galician playwright.
