Factores determinantes de la creación de spin-offs universitarias

Resumo
Una de las vías con las que cuenta la universidad para transferir tecnología a la sociedad es la creación de empresas. Además, mediante este instrumento, la universidad puede contribuir al desarrollo de la economía local y a incrementar sus ingresos. Sin embargo, debido al carácter relativamente reciente del fenómeno de las spinoffs universitarias, no abundan los estudios empíricos sobre el tema. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer qué factores propios del ámbito universitario determinan la creación de las spin-offs en las universidades españolas. Los resultados indican que los recursos financieros y humanos destinados a la investigación universitaria se encuentran relacionados positivamente con la creación de spin-offs. Por el contrario, el número de publicaciones mantiene una relación negativa con dicho proceso.
