Abstract

Daniel Cortezón's work (Ribadeo, 1927) looks into its own times from historical, mythical and aesthetic parameters founded in the Middle Ages. His 1956 novel, As covas do rei Cintolo, still not sufficiently studied today, and the range of voices in his political theatre constitute a peculiar chivalric ideal that brings together past and present.
