Resumo

This paper tries to solve the historical and philological problem related to two medieval toponyms: Campus Laudabilis and Campus Letorie. In a pretended Papal Bull, included in the Pseudo-Turpin of Codex Calixtinus, this two places (and Huesca, as well) are said to have wittnessed bloody battles in wich thousands of Christian people died, winning the palm of martyrdom. As opposed to those who have tried to locate this facts in Geography and History, we believe that the whole question might be reduced to a literary invention inspired by the history of San Justo and San Pastor, patron saints of Alcalá de Henares, and of their reliques.
