Resumo

This thesis focuses on the development of new synthetic strategies for core-shell plasmonic-nanoMOF systems. The research investigates the factors that influence the synthesis of plasmonic nanoparticles and their role as seeds in the nucleation process of the metal-organic framework (MOF) shell. These nanocomposites are designed to facilitate light-triggered release from within the MOF's porous structure into the surrounding medium, driven by the thermodiffusion effect. The efficiency of this release is directly influenced by the thickness of the MOF shell and the shape of the plasmonic core.
