Doctor Octavio Bellmunt y Traver was an Asturian surgeon that labored between the end ofthe 18th century and the beginning ofthe 20th. He was a prominent practician oftocogynecology but he cultivated also General Medicine, Epidemiology, Forensic Medicine and manufacturing of medicaments. In the extramedical ground was especially prominent their dedication to the editorial enterprise in addition to their collaboration in social, cultural, sportive and political activities
