Resumo

Point of view based on the linguistic usage has been adopted in order to achieve a review of the concept of prototypical transitivity. We set up arguments based on the acquisition and the frequency of use of the transitive construction that lead to a new interpretation of the prototype, that is supported by the most recent studies on the perveption fo the causality.
